At every appraisal, I show the potential seller what other homes in their area have recently sold for. What I find staggering is that roughly eight out of 10 homes I use as comparisons have sold for more than the original asking price.

Royal rejection for Toronto's condo king

Condo king Brad Lamb's proposal for a 45-storey condo tower next to King Street's Royal Alexandra Theatre has been rejected by city councillors. Local councillor Adam Vaughan voted against the project but called the design "astonishing."

Remember early 2009, when Toronto's housing market slowed to a near halt? The current boom, which started in the second half of last year, helped many forget. However, a new report says 2010 will be the flip side of last year.
