Headlines: Housing prices, Madoff and Monopoly

Housing prices skyrocketed in Moore Park, Forest Hill and Deer Park last month. According to the Toronto Real Estate Board, prices shot up as much as $190,000 compared with August of 2008. (National Post)

Investors duped by disgraced financier Bernie Madoff may get some cash back once officials finish selling all of his properties. Included in the sale: Madoff's $7.45 million mansion in Palm Beach, his $7 million New York City penthouse, and his $8.5 million yacht. (NY Mag)
