Legendary Brownes Bistro to open on Balmoral Avenue

According to Franco Prevedello, a well-known Toronto restaurateur, the space on Balmoral Avenue currently occupied by Terroni will not be the location of his new project.

Instead, the Jacob brothers, owners of Brownes Bistro on Woodlawn Avenue, will take over the space beginning Jan. 1, 2011.

According to a source at Brownes, the acclaimed bistro on Woodlawn Avenue is staying put, and a new operation will be opening up in the Terroni space.

Terroni, in the meantime, is moving south to 1095 Yonge St. The new, larger location will house a bar on the main floor with a Terroni on the second and third floors and a rooftop patio, according to Terroni owner Cosimo Mammoliti.
