Three plays feature three generations of Jamaican women. In the trilogy premiere, word!sound!powah!, a young dub poet finds strength in her ancestors to fight for the freedom she believes in. You go, girl.

In the English language premiere of Swiss playwright Lukas Bärfuss’ play, a man seeks scientific proof of his son’s paternity. So obviously “the test” in question is, well, a paternity one. Despite the serious poster for the production, it’s apparently a dark comedy.

You know how you complain about your friends ditching you at a party? Well, this is way worse. Two members of an 1845 Arctic expedition are ditched by their shipmates when their ships become trapped in ice. Not surprisingly, they’re not in good shape.
