Cheap Eat of the Week: the pumpkin tiramisu doughnut from Jelly Modern
October is pumpkin month, and wherever you turn, there’s pumpkin-inspired something. Pumpkin spice lattes, roasted pumpkin soup or my favourite (and probably yours), pumpkin pie.
But it would be a tragedy to leave out one of the seasonal treats from Jelly Modern Doughnuts: the pumpkin tiramisu doughnut. While the shop offers both cake and yeast doughnuts, the pumpkin tiramisu is a yeast-raised doughnut with a pumpkin bourbon glaze. It’s filled with a pumpkin mascarpone mousse and finished with a dusting of nutmeg and cinnamon.
