Cheap Eat of the Week: The Whippoorwill’s peaches and cream dessert

It’s peach season — and I just can’t get enough. It doesn’t take much for a farmer to sell me a giant bucket of them, and I end up walking away with dozens more than I need. That means lots of peach cobbler, peach sorbet, straight-up peaches and, of course, the charming dessert from the south, peaches and cream.
Over at The Whippoorwill restaurant, it’s usually the butterscotch pudding with salted caramel that catches people’s eyes, but in the words of 112, it’s all about the peaches and cream — I need it ’cause you know that I’m a fiend.
The $8 dessert is made up of Ontario peaches with cream on The Whippoorwill’s fresh, crusty buttermilk biscuit, with candied walnuts to finish it all off.
Don’t skip this dessert!
