Retail Therapy: Victoire Boutique

Originally hailing from Ottawa, Victoire is a new fashionable women’s boutique that has recently opened its third location on lower Ossington. Co-owners Regine Paquette and Katie Frappier decided to expand to Toronto when one of their managers, Kristina Smith, informed them she was moving to Toronto.

Victoire’s two original boutiques gained a following in our nation’s capital by offering wares by Canadian designers at accessible price points.

“The idea is all of the pieces are good quality that you can keep for a long time,” says manager Amber Stafford. “There are two different looks: one is romantic, and the second is edgy and fashion forward.”

Some of the standouts include a navy shift dress from Montreal-based brand Birds of North America ($194), inspired by ’60s shift dresses, but shorter and hanging loose on the body for a bit of a sophisticated look over a sexier fit. Other pieces from Betina Lou and Eve Gravel sport clean lines and neutral colours.
