Lovers of fancy purses rejoice! Miu Miu, an offshoot of Italian luxury brand Prada, recently opened its first-ever Canadian boutique inside Holt Renfrew on Bloor Street, bringing with it a slew of elegant handbags and lots of panache.

Though the space-within-a-space is modest in size (around 425 square feet), it’s bursting with shimmering display cases, damask curtains and gold counters with crystal display cases.

The couture corner was designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, and it’s entirely dedicated to bags and accessories collections. Translation: none of the line’s funky-fashionable duds are being sold in the store, but with some of the handbags costing upwards of $2,000, it might be wise to save some space in your savings account for a later shop-till-you-drop date.
