Shoe Fetish: these blue sandals from Bosabo

Summer is a time for breaking away from the tried-and-true (and very often, old-and-tired) colourways that dominate footwear throughout the year. I'm looking at you, shoe racks overflowing with black patent pumps.

French footwear designers Bosabo are known primarily for a long history (dating back to 1890), of producing clogs, sandals and accessories and endeavouring to use environmentally-conscious materials and traditional methods. With a platform base and rubber sole, these clog-inspired sandals add height and a splash of subtle colour without sacrificing comfort or versatility.

These sandals come in an array of colours including candy red, but there's something about the complementary blue hues on the criss-crossing straps (and the golden hardware) that conjure up a seaside picnic.
