#31 7 Numbers

7 Numbers

An Italian grandmother is worth her weight in gold, gastronomically. Those of us not lucky enough to have one go to 7 Numbers where Mama Rosa cooks six nights a week in the open kitchen at the front. And greets you. And offers to clean the stain off your shirt. Her southern Italian cooking is bright and robust, loaded with flavour. Mama Rosa’s meatballs are big, tender and bathed in her dazzling trademark tomato sauce. Her lasagna is equally delectable. She cooks both sardines and calamari perfectly. Waitstaff are part of the family too, with warmth and brio.
