Coyly snazzy small items come on melamine with brown paper towel for napkins. Maybe the best fried chicken in town. Skip spicy Thai salad — too mouth-burning. But don’t miss the marvellous rough-chopped Asian spiced steak tartare with Asian pear and tiny rice crunchies to roll up in super-crisp nori. Or the silly-sounding but wonderful shrimp sandwich on toasted Wonder-bread with shaved iceberg and mayo: A fat loaf of diced shrimp and pork makes this retro sammy super-great.
