This 4-part series of talks balances history and guided listening with images and production insights into the operas presented in the COC's 2012/2013 season - all of which communicate the visceral thrill of opera as a multi-media genre. Talk #2: Celebrate the 200th anniversary of the first published book of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm! Join Canadian composer Dean Burry as he explores "The Brothers Grimm," his opera for children inspired by the tales collected by the famous duo, and sheds light on how it came to be the most performed Canadian opera of all time.
