First Female Jewish RCMP Officer, Fran Saltzman

In 1975, Fran Saltzman joined the RCMP and served as a constable for nine years. Some of the highlights of her career include acting as a bodyguard for then-Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, escorting prisoners and working on investigations into drug trafficking, pornography, biker gangs and smuggling. As well, Fran is an expert marksman. Fran left the force in 1985 to pursue other interests and go back to school. But for the past eight years, she has worked in a civilian capacity as an interviewer/investigator for the RCMP. Join Fran Saltzman and learn about her experience as the first Jewish female officer in the RCMP. Time: 7:00 p.m. Cost: TSSC Members: $7; Non-members: $9.
