Camp George

As the Union for Reform Judaism’s only Canadian camp, Camp George has acquired a wonderful reputation and is excited to celebrate its 15th summer in 2013! Located on a lakefront setting, the program is designed to enhance the physical, social, and personal skills of youngsters in a warm, nurturing and friendly Jewish environment. The camp’s athletic activities include tennis, soccer, basketball, softball, beach volleyball, mountain biking and a ropes course. Water sports include water skiing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking and a Canadian Red Cross swim program. The camp’s tripping program consists of overnight adventures, day hikes, bike trips and three to four day canoe and hiking trips. The camp’s arts program includes drama, arts and crafts, pottery, videography and dance. Camp George is OCA accredited. The season consists of two 3 1⁄2 week sessions, with shorter options available for younger campers. Top Bunk incentive grants are available for first time campers. Visit us at www.george.urjcamps.org.
