Paul Haggis with Kathryn Emslie, director of CFC’s Film & TV Programs
“This is a very exciting chapter for the CFC. We are so fortunate to have an accomplished and gifted storyteller such as Paul lend us his expertise,” said CFC founder Norman Jewison.
In addition to teaching one master class per year, Haggis will work to draw international attention to the centre’s programs and talent. “It’s an honour to accept this position and contribute to Norman’s legacy of an organization that supports and fosters creative talent,” Haggis said.
The Cineplex Entertainment and short dramatic films programs are designed to put editors, producers, writers and filmmakers through intensive training, with equal attention paid to the artistic and commercial sides of the business. The centre’s alumni includes the likes of Clement Virgo and Vincenzo Natali.
