Masaki Hashimoto has crafted an artwork that stands outside time. The restaurant serves only kaiseki, a meal of many light courses that was invented as an adjunct to the elaborate teas ceremony. $300 a person buys dinner that is a parade of tiny edible treasures, the most perfect little Japanese dishes, each served on exquisite porcelain, each narrated with painstaking detail by Masaki's son Kei, his kaiseki apprentice. After dinner Kei officiates at your tea ceremony. For serious Japanese food lovers only.
