Anita Goodman Shedletsky and her large group of volunteers are thrilled to announce the opening of the Echo Sculpture Studio. When the Koffler Centre closed down for construction, the group of sculptors who called the studio there their home had nowhere to work. After a great amount of community mobilization, volunteering and fundraising, the Echo Sculpture Studio was born. The studio will boast all the latest equipment, including compressors and air extractors, to maintain a healthy work environment for all sculptors. It will also offer both classes and independent studio time. Most importantly, Shedletsky notes, “It’s a warm, welcoming sharing community. Beginners are welcome, and there is no arts background necessary.” Drop in at 3906 Chesswood Dr., or call 416-444-8955.
