Join us on Tuesday evenings in October for Free Barre Fitness Classes! TUESDAYS 5:30pm-6:30pm October 10, 17, 24, 31 Barre Fitness classes are a blend of pilates, dance, cardio and core strength training. Reshape your body into that of a dancer's, with an emphasis on posture and alignment. Work up a sweat in a high energy and fun class set to music! • No previous yoga experience required. • Please wear comfortable clothing. Washrooms available for changing. • Please bring your own yoga mat for floor exercises. • Please bring your own water bottle. Enter through the Yonge Street entrance (west side of building south of Front Street) Doors open 15 minutes before class starts. Please arrive early to change and sign in so class can begin promptly. Late comers will not be allowed entrance. Registration will open Tuesday September 26. • Registration is free for participants. 25 spots will be available to pre-register a spot, 15 spots will be reserved for drop-in participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Please ONLY pre-register if you are sure you can attend. • Class capacity is 40 participants. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR - SHARON BURKE Sharon started taking dance lessons at the age of 6, studied at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and The Banff School Of Fine Arts among others as a teen, and was then accepted into the scholarship program at Les Ballets Jazz De Montreal. After moving back to Toronto to pursue other interests, Sharon fell in love with the Pilates method and has taught pilates for over 10 years. Always looking to expand her fitness knowledge, she has now added Barre work to her teaching curriculum; a perfect blend of ballet and pilates influenced training styles. Waitlist: If the Eventbrite Registration is full, we encourage you to join the waitlist! We will contact the waitlist with a class reminder and any updates regarding the number of available drop-in spots. If you are not contacted by Eventbrite to join the class, you are welcome to attend as a drop-in participant (first come, first served). Drop-ins: Regardless of being on the waitlist, anyone welcome to arrive as a drop-in participant. We will reserve 20 spots per class for drop-ins and will allow additional drop-ins up to the capacity of the class in case there are cancellations or no-shows. Eventbrite Registration Policy: If you have confirmed your registration on Eventbrite and discover you are no longer able to attend, we kindly ask that you cancel your order or email firstname.lastname@example.org to notify us. After two “no-show” instances, Sony Centre reserves the right to cancel any future Eventbrite orders you may have for Sony Centre Community Classes. If your Eventbrite Registration is cancelled, please note you are still welcome to attend as a drop-in participant if space is available!
