Description

Every time there is an incident in which police officers interact with civilians and someone is seriously injured or dies, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) starts a criminal investigation. The SIU handles hundreds of these incidents across the province each year. Through the exploration of several cases, learn how an SIU investigation proceeds, from the notification stage to a Director's decision. Presented by a member of the SIU as part of Toronto Public Library's Civil Society program series. Program is free. Call 416-396-3975 for more information.
