#37 Big Crow

Big Crow

Gracefully channeling a 1920’s loggers bar: Birch saplings twinkling with Edison bulbs line the walkway from the street (behind Rose and Sons), piles of split wood remind us that we’re Canajun, eh? Inside it’s log cabin all the way with long wooden communal tables, rough blankets for padding and candle lanterns dangling from the beams. The wood fire at the back says cozy and the smoky ribs may be the best in town — meaty, pink, innocent of sauce but loaded with flavour. And a garnish of crunchy pears cooked with pecorino, sage, walnuts and happy grease. Noisy and fun.
