Club king Charles Khabouth has opened a post-modern steakhouse with a long list of designer beef, a hot wood fire, and apps from the East to keep it lively. The room is an elegantly casual two-storey palace of cool and yes, it’s all very expensive. Very. We love the sushi, which are varied and creative —Best is spicy tuna tartare to wrap in butter lettuce leaves. The frites are sweet and the $26 dry-aged burger is big and ballsy, with terrific caramelized onions and chile-kissed house-made ketchup. Does the world need a six-ounce Wagyu filet for $90? There’s only one way to find out… I quite loved it.
