#25 Mr. Flamingo

Mr. Flamingo

A hipster haven on Dundas West, Mr. F. is a sweetly decorated room, flattering retro amber lighting and nicely spaced tables, with unusually pleasant music levels for a spot so cool. Same deal with the service, which is kindly. The menu is ambitious and often meets it goals, thanks to chef Fan Zhang who learned his chops from Nick Liu at Niagara Street Caf. Best are the brown butter gnocchi, big fat and soft, with popcorn puree, black pepper and rosemary. Welcome to hipster heaven, with taste buds.
