#34 The Carbon Bar

The Carbon Bar

CB is ever more delicious, the supreme temple of Hogtown’s high-end BBQ. And a gorgeous double-height room to boot. We miss the crunchy chicken skin, but hey, it seems they had to make the menu more girl-friendly. Hence the red snapper with coconut curry, roasted cauliflower, more salad and some raw fish. But be not distracted from the main event: This is a meat palace. They slow-roast in a woodfire pit: Brisket like butter, meaty pink ribs with a hint of smoke and char on the outside, and the best southern fried chicken in town. Dessert is fun fantasia like banana split built on dolce de leche ice cream and chocolate-covered bananas.
